To install the Holley 20-292 Premium Mid-Mount Complete Accessory System, follow these steps:
1. Determine the routing of the heater hoses. The manifold offers two options: running the hoses underneath the intake manifold or to the passenger's side.
2. Install the fittings for the heater hoses before mating the timing cover to the block. Use thread sealant on all NPT adapters and tighten them 2 to 3 rounds.
3. Choose the coolant temperature sensor installation option based on your engine type. There are three options available, each allowing for different harness lengths.
4. Install the timing cover gasket with the ribbed edge facing the timing cover. Make sure the gasket is fully seated and push the flats on the bottom upward into the groove. Lubricate and install the large green O-ring into the dovetail groove around the water inlet.
5. Install the crank pulley by placing the crankshaft seal on the installation tool with the rubber side facing out. Thread the damper installation tool in by hand and tighten it until you feel the seal tool bottom out on the front cover. Ensure that the seal is square with the timing cover. Use the installation tool to seat the damper onto the crankshaft and torque the OE damper bolt to 129 ft./lbs.
6. Install the water pump and torque the M6 bolts to 85 in./lbs. Do not overtighten the bolts.
7. Install the alternator and torque the M10 bolts to 36 ft./lbs. Connect the yellow wire to switched voltage that is "on" when the key is in the run position.
8. Install the power steering pump/reservoir and torque the M8 bolts to 18 ft./lbs. If there is reservoir interference, use an adapter to connect the supplied P/S pump's inlet to a remote reservoir.
9. Install the water inlet/outlet adapters based on your desired hose routing. Ensure that the thermostat is installed with the bleeder port in the 12 o'clock position.
10. Install the belt tensioner and follow the provided belt installation instructions. Use the supplied serpentine belt if using all included Holley accessories and supplemental parts.
11. If included, install the accessory and tensioner covers according to the instructions provided with the covers.
