To properly install the Garland G2000 Gas Bake and Roast Deck Ovens, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the oven is installed in a location where there is proper ventilation and sufficient clearance from combustible materials. Refer to the installation manual for specific clearance requirements.
2. Connect the oven to the appropriate gas supply. Make sure to use the correct type of gas (natural or propane) as indicated on the rating plate. Install a pressure regulator to deliver gas at the pressure shown on the rating plate.
3. Install the legs of the oven by positioning them inside the front corners of the angle base frame and tightening the bolts securely.
4. If stacking multiple oven sections, raise the upper section into position and align it with the lower section. The upper section should telescope over the lower section. It is not necessary to bolt the sections together.
5. Install the oven vent according to the ventilation system requirements. If using a direct flue, install a draft hood and a barometric damper as necessary.
6. Install the top trim by sliding its lower flange into position in the oven opening between the front columns. Lower the top trim over the oven top.
7. Connect the oven to a properly grounded electrical outlet if it has optional light features.
8. Install the oven heat deflectors, corderite/steel hearths, and inner oven linings according to the provided instructions.
9. Perform a burn-off or deck curing process to remove any protective oil and to condition the oven hearth. Follow the recommended temperature and time guidelines in the manual.
10. Once the oven is properly installed, it is ready for operation. Make sure to distribute the load evenly on the deck and preheat the oven before loading the food.
Note: It is recommended to have maintenance and repairs performed by a Garland authorized service agent. Refer to the manual for a list of authorized service agents.
