To calibrate the FIRMA SPMXSE Series 40A Brushed Smart ESC with your transmitter, follow these steps:
1. Power on your transmitter and set all throttle values to 100% for dual rates and travel, and to neutral for trim and sub-trim.
2. Verify that there are no ABS braking functions activated on your transmitter.
3. For transmitters without an LCD, turn the D/R (Dual Rate) xxxx to the maximum setting and center the throttle trim.
4. Connect a fully charged battery to the ESC.
5. Press and hold the programming button on the switch case, then power on the ESC. The red LED on the ESC will flash, and the motor will emit a beep. Release the programming button.
6. If the programming button is not released within 3 seconds, the ESC will enter programming mode. Otherwise, proceed to the next step.
7. With the throttle trigger and trim in the neutral position, press and release the programming button. The red LED will flash once, and the motor will emit 1 tone.
8. Pull the throttle trigger to full throttle, then press and release the programming button. The red LED will flash twice, and the motor will emit 2 tones.
9. Push the throttle trigger to full reverse, then press and release the programming button. The red LED will flash 3 times, and the motor will emit 3 tones.
10. Power off the system using the ON/OFF switch.
11. Power on the system using the ON/OFF switch. The ESC is now calibrated and ready for operation.
Note: Beeps from the motor may be quiet and difficult to hear, so use the LED status to help verify the settings.
