To assemble the SIP 01332 10 Inch Table Saw 3hp Sliding Carriage 240v, please follow these steps:
1. Before assembling the sliding carriage, remove the left-hand extension table from the table saw. This may require the assistance of at least two people.
2. Loosen the nuts of the front and rear fence rail retaining bolts to allow the fence rails to slide. Slide the front and rear fence rails to the right and remove the left-hand extension table.
3. Set the fence support rails to the correct position by aligning the left-hand end of the rails with the left-hand edge of the saw's main table. Tighten the securing bolts.
4. If desired, fit the left-hand extension table to the right-hand side of the saw for extra workpiece support. Attach the two supplied support legs to the right-hand side of the extension table using the holes that previously held the extension table to the main saw bed.
5. Extend the support legs to the correct height and tighten the allen bolts to lock them in place. Follow the instructions in the user manual to re-fit the extension table, ensuring the square head bolt is re-fitted and aligned with the hole on the extension table.
6. Remove the old scale and replace it with the one supplied with the sliding carriage.
7. Fit the scale mount to the sliding bench using the supplied allen bolts.
8. Insert the intermediate plates into the stop tube, but do not tighten the screws.
9. Fit the stop tube on the sliding bench using the supplied swing bolt, washers, wave washer, and hex nut. Ensure the wave washer is between the stop tube and the sliding bench.
10. Adjust the scale mount by releasing the allen bolts and shifting it to the left or right to align the pointer with the "0" scale. Tighten the allen bolts.
11. Slide the guide rail over the intermediate plates and tighten the thumbscrews.
12. Insert the folding stop into the end stop and tighten the T- xxxx .
13. Fit the two "L" mounting brackets to the table of the saw using the supplied allen bolts.
14. Fit the two mounting brackets to the two "L" mounting brackets using the supplied allen bolts.
15. Ensure the slide bench runs parallel to the bench surface.
16. Insert the sliding rail from above at a slight angle into the mounting brackets and tighten the wing nuts.
17. To mount the sliding bench on the sliding rail, unlock the stop bolt, pull out the ball xxxx , and turn it clockwise or counter-clockwise. Slide the bench on the sliding rail, ensuring the bearings line up correctly and the bench runs smoothly. Turn the ball xxxx back to its original position to prevent the bench from falling.
18. Adjust the sliding table so that it is flush with the main bed of the saw. Use the main rip fence (inverted) from the saw to assist with alignment.
19. Adjust the left and right rail fixtures to align the slide bench with the cutting table. Test and measure the parallel motion of the slide bench to the cutting bench. If necessary, release the allen bolts on the two "L" mounting brackets to adjust the parallel motion. Tighten the hexagon nuts.
20. Follow the instructions in the manual for workpiece stop angle correction, adjusting the stop rail, angle stop, and sliding rail.
Please refer to the instruction manual for more detailed information and illustrations on the assembly process.
