To set up the netvox RA02A Wireless Smoke Detector, follow these steps:
1. Power on: Insert 2 x 1.5V AAA size alkaline batteries into the device. Use a screwdriver if needed to open the cover. Press any function key until the green indicator flashes once to turn on the device.
2. Network joining: If the device has never joined a network before, turn on the device to search for the network. The green indicator staying on for 5 seconds indicates a successful network joining, while the green indicator remaining off indicates a failed network joining. If the device has already joined a network, turn on the device to search for the previous network. The green indicator staying on for 5 seconds indicates a successful search, while the green indicator remaining off indicates a failed search.
3. Configuration: The device's configuration parameters can be configured via a third-party software platform. Data can be read and alerts can be set via SMS text and email (optional). The device is compatible with third-party platforms such as Actility/ThingPark, TTN, and MyDevices/Cayenne.
4. Sleep mode: When the device is on and in the network, it enters a sleeping mode with a sleeping period set by the Min Interval. It will send a data report when the report change exceeds the setting value or when the state changes.
5. Low voltage warning: The device will send a version packet report and a data report with the temperature and voltage when the voltage drops to 2.4V.
6. Smoke trigger and high temperature alarm: The device detects smoke and triggers an alarm when the smoke status changes. It also sends a report when the alarm is over. Additionally, it samples the temperature every 1 minute and triggers an alarm when the temperature exceeds 60 degrees Celsius. It sends a report every 1 minute while the alarm continues and when the temperature goes below 60 degrees Celsius.
