To install the TOURATECH 01-082-5472-0 Set of LED Auxiliary Headlights Fog, we recommend having the accessory parts fitted by a specialist workshop. However, if you choose to install it yourself, please follow the instructions provided in the manual. Here are the general steps:
1. Before starting the installation, make sure to disconnect the battery to avoid any electrical accidents.
2. Ensure that you have all the necessary tools and equipment for the installation.
3. Carefully read through the entire instruction manual before starting the installation to familiarize yourself with the process.
4. Follow the order of assembly steps as mentioned in the manual. It is crucial to follow the correct sequence to ensure proper installation.
5. Check and, if necessary, tighten all bolted connections after 50 km of usage to ensure they are secure.
6. For bolted connections, use the standard tightening torques mentioned in the manual. If there are any special tightening torques required, refer to your specialist workshop.
7. If you have made modifications to the fairing, stem, handlebar, or any other parts, ensure that electrical wiring, brake lines, accelerator, and clutch cables are refitted correctly. Check for clearance on both sides with full steering lock.
8. It is recommended to cut protective film to size and apply it to impact areas that are likely to be chipped by stones.
9. For any work on the brake system and suspension, it is advisable to have it done by a specialist workshop.
10. The maximum load on luggage racks is 5 kg, and for ZegaPro TC luggage racks, it is 10 kg. Please ensure not to exceed these weight limits.
11. If you are using other original or aftermarket accessories, make sure they have proper clearance and do not come into contact with other parts.
12. Apply conventional lubricant to stainless steel bolts prior to assembly.
13. For additional guidance, you can also download the PDF fitting instructions from the Touratech webshop.
Please note that these instructions are based on the current state of knowledge and may be subject to technical modifications. It is essential to comply with applicable road vehicle regulations, EC/ECE Directives, and laws in your country. If parts are fitted that require inspection and/or approval, take your vehicle to a testing station immediately and update the vehicle papers accordingly.
