To connect a microphone or instrument to the DIVA12A Active Loudspeaker, use the CH1/CH2 input connector located on the main panel. This is a COMBO connector that accepts an XLR plug or a JACK plug.
If you are using a balanced XLR microphone, connect the XLR plug to the CH1/CH2 input connector as follows:
- Pin 1: Shield or ground
- Pin 2: Positive or "hot"
- Pin 3: Negative or "cold"
If you are using an unbalanced JACK instrument or microphone, connect the JACK plug to the CH1/CH2 input connector as follows:
- Tip: Positive or "hot"
- Sleeve: Shield or ground
Make sure to select the appropriate input impedance and gain setting for your sound source device by using the CH1/CH2 input selector. Choose the setting that corresponds to your microphone or instrument type:
- MIC: Select this position if a dynamic microphone is connected.
- GUITAR: Select this position if an instrument with a high impedance pick-up, such as electric guitars or electric bass instruments, is connected.
- LINE: Select this position if an instrument or another player or mixer with a low impedance line level output is connected.
Adjust the level of the CH1/CH2 channels and the WIRELESS 1/2 inputs using the CH1/CH2 LEVEL potentiometer. This will set the input level for your microphone or instrument.
Note: If you are using the PROEL U24H or U24B 2.4GHz USB Wireless Microphone, you can use the WIRELESS 1/2 inputs instead. In this case, disconnect any MIC/GUITAR/LINE device from the respective channel.
