To use the Sealey EVPC1 10A Type 1 TO UK 3-Pin Plug Portable EV Charger, please follow these steps:
1. Safety Precautions:
- Before using the charger, inspect the power supply leads, plugs, and all electrical connections for wear and damage.
- Ensure that the insulation on all cables and the appliance is safe before connecting it to the power supply.
- Do not use worn or damaged cables, plugs, or connectors. Repair or replace any faulty items immediately by a qualified electrician.
- Connect the earth wire (GREEN/YELLOW) to the earth terminal 'E', the live wire (BROWN) to the live terminal 'L', and the neutral wire (BLUE) to the neutral terminal 'N'.
- Do not expose the equipment to rain or moisture, high temperatures, or chemical cleaners.
- Do not use the charger if the cables, sockets, or unit are damaged.
- Do not use the charger in a car or confined place when charging.
- Do not use the charger while under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or intoxicating medication.
- Store the charger in a safe, dry environment out of the reach of children.
2. Charging:
- Plug the charger power cable into a suitable power supply.
- Remove the rubber protection cover from the charger unit cable and fully insert the relevant charging cable.
- Connect the cable to your EV vehicle.
- Turn on the mains power, and the LED interface will light up.
- While the equipment is charging, the red light will be permanently on, and the green light will flash.
- When charging finishes, the green light will flash, and the red light will turn off. Disconnect the unit from the power supply and disconnect the charging connector from the vehicle.
3. Timer Function:
- With the charger powered up and disconnected from the EV vehicle, press the green button to set the delay time. Each press equals one hour, up to a maximum delay of 10 hours.
- After setting the time delay, connect the charging cable to the charging port on your EV vehicle.
- When charging finishes, the green light will flash, and the red light will turn off. Disconnect the unit from the power supply and disconnect the charging connector from the vehicle.
