To connect the PROGYS 180A MMA Welding Machine to a power supply, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the power supply voltage is 230V (+/- 15%) and the mains frequency is 50/60Hz.
2. Check that the power supply has a fuse or circuit breaker rated at 16A to handle the maximum effective supply current (I1eff) of 16A.
3. Connect the machine to a 230V socket with an earth connection using the provided 16A plug (type EEC7/7).
4. Ensure the power supply is accessible and the machine is placed in a sheltered area away from rain or direct sunlight.
5. Once the machine is connected to the power supply, turn the potentiometer (current setting) to the desired current position. Set the potentiometer to "O" for standby mode.
6. Connect the earth clamp and electrode holder to the machine's external connectors, following the polarity indicated on the electrode packaging.
Please refer to the "POWER SUPPLY - STARTING UP" section of the user manual for more detailed instructions and safety precautions.
