The ALPEN OPTICS 540 Series Wings Binoculars are equipped with eyecups that can be either rolled or twisted up or down, depending on the model. To optimize the view for your eyes and exclude extraneous light, follow these steps:
1. If you are not wearing eyeglasses or sunglasses, keep the eyecups fully extended in the "up" position.
2. If you are wearing glasses, roll down the eyecups or twist them to the down position. This will bring your eyes closer to the binocular's eyepiece lens to ensure you can see the entire image without any cutoff or tunnel vision.
Please refer to the manual for your specific model to determine whether the eyecups should be rolled or twisted.
