To align the front splitter on your CIVIC Type-R FK8 17-21, follow these steps:
1. Jack the front of the car for easy access and ensure you have jack stands in place for safety.
2. Align the lip of the front splitter perfectly under the bumper. The tip of the lip should be lined up with the corner of your bumper near the wheel.
3. If needed, use a permanent marker to mark the drill spot on the bumper through the holes of the lip. The lip should not move during this step.
4. Drill in the middle of your marks or holes using a 5/16 drill bit.
5. Create easy access to reach the holes inside the bumper and assemble the lip with the provided hardware. Refer to the assembly instructions for details on how to use the hardware.
6. Put the lip on the bumper by aligning the bolts through the holes and adding the lock nuts over the bolts inside the bumper.
7. Tighten the bolts at the bottom of the splitter using a hex key.
8. Reinstall any removed trims and you're ready to go. Don't forget to take pictures and send them to info@artworkbodyshop.com and tag @artworkbodyshop on social media.
Please note that professional installation is strongly recommended for this product. Ensure you have the necessary tools, including a car jack, jack stands, permanent marker, drill, 5/16 drill bits, and the hardware provided in the package. If necessary, you may also need Torx, Phillips, and a 10mm box to remove your splash guard.
