To install the HINKLEY 903254FMB-LID 54 inch Walnut Blades Fan, please follow the general installation and operation instructions provided in the instruction manual. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Before beginning the installation, read the instructions and review the diagrams thoroughly.
2. Turn off the electricity at the main power box before wiring to avoid electric shock.
3. Ensure that all electrical connections are made in accordance with local codes and ordinances.
4. Mount the fan on an outlet box or supporting system marked acceptable for fan support of 35 lbs or less. Replace the outlet box if necessary.
5. Make sure the installation site allows at least 7 feet of clearance between the rotating fan blades and any object.
6. Attach the blades after hanging the motor housing in place. Keep the motor housing in the carton until ready to be installed.
7. After making electrical connections, turn spliced conductors upward and push them carefully into the outlet box. Spread the wires apart with the common conductor and grounding conductor on one side, and the "HOT" wires on the other side.
8. Follow the electrical diagrams for reference. If installing a light kit that is not packed with the fan, ensure it is UL listed and follow the light kit's installation instructions.
9. After the fan is completely installed, check that all connections are secure to prevent the fan from falling and causing damage or injury.
10. The fan can be operated immediately after installation. No further lubrication should be necessary for the life of the fan.
11. To operate the reverse function, press the reverse button while the fan is running.
