To install the BARDLAND ZXR 5000 12V Winch with Wire Rope, follow these steps:
1. Choose a mounting location that can withstand the rated capacity of the winch without damage or weakening. Ensure that the mounting surface is clear of fuel lines, brake lines, electrical wires, gas tanks, or any other components that could be damaged during drilling.
2. Align the winch perpendicular to the center line of the vehicle at the desired location and mark the locations of the winch base holes. Drill holes appropriate for the hardware at the marked locations.
3. Install the winch using the specified mounting hardware mentioned in the specifications section of the manual.
4. Mount the solenoid box, switch controller, and socket lead in proper locations, ensuring that they are close enough to each other to allow wires to be routed properly and not interfere with vehicle components.
5. Route the cables from the solenoid to the battery and from the solenoid to the winch, following the precautions mentioned in the manual. Attach the wires from the solenoid to the terminals on the winch.
6. Attach the circuit breaker to the positive terminal of the battery. Connect the red battery cable to the circuit breaker and the black battery cable to the negative terminal of the battery.
7. Wire in the switch controller and socket lead according to the diagrams provided in the manual. Connect the red wire from the socket lead to an ignition circuit that is switched by the vehicle's key to prevent accidental starting.
8. Insulate all exposed wiring and terminals after installation.
9. Test the electric winch for proper operation before use.
