To properly set up the HI-TECH Diamond 4 Inch 5 Inch Trim Saw Machine, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the machine is intended for indoor use only and avoid using it near gasoline or other flammable liquids.
2. Place the machine on a sturdy, level surface with ample working area and away from open electrical outlets.
3. Check for any damaged parts before use. Make sure all moving parts are properly aligned, not binding, and not broken. Replace any damaged parts through the manufacturer to avoid injury.
4. Use only identical 4"/5" Trim saw parts for replacement. Using other parts may create hazards or cause product damage.
5. Familiarize yourself with the power tool by reading the instruction manual carefully. Understand the correct applications, limitations, warnings, and hazards related to the machine.
6. Always wear proper apparel, including safety goggles or safety glasses with side shields, to protect yourself from debris while sawing. Avoid wearing loose clothing, gloves, neckties, or jewelry that can get caught in the machine's moving parts. Secure long hair with a rubber band or hair tie.
7. Keep the work area well-lit and clean, ensuring it is not cluttered.
8. Do not operate the machine unattended. Adult supervision is required at all times.
9. Do not operate the machine while under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or any medication.
10. Never run the saw blades dry. Always use a lubricant, such as oil or water, while sawing to prevent the formation of rock dust. This dust contains chemicals that can be hazardous if inhaled. Work in a well-ventilated area and wear a face or dust mask if the sawing operation is dusty.
11. Do not attempt to cut curves with the saw blade as it is designed to cut straight lines only.
12. Avoid cutting more than one workpiece at a time.
13. Be aware of rocks that may contain poisonous elements and avoid sawing them.
14. Allow the trim saw to cool down by using a 30 minutes on, 30 minutes off cycle to prevent overheating and deformation of the saw housing.
15. Do not force the tool or attachment to do a job it is not designed for.
16. Always stay alert and focused while working on the machine to avoid accidents.
17. Disconnect the machine from power before servicing or making any adjustments.
18. Clean and dry the machine after each use.
