To set up the DAKE Force 25DA Single Phase Dura-Press Force, follow these steps:
1. Press Placement:
- Place the press on a level floor with base angles touching the floor at all points.
- Ensure that the press has a safety perimeter of 2-1/2 feet on all sides from any other objects or machines.
2. Filling the Press with Oil:
- Fill the reservoir with DTE 24 Mobil hydraulic oil or equivalent.
- The Force 25DA model holds 2 gallons of oil.
- Make sure the oil is new and be cautious not to let any contaminants get into the reservoir.
- The oil should be changed about once a year.
3. Wiring Instructions:
- If using 110 volts, the machine is ready to plug in.
- If wiring must be changed to suit 220-volt single phase, follow the wiring diagram provided in the motor cover.
- A licensed qualified electrician must wire and install the electrics on this press.
- Always use a cord and plug that is rated for the specific voltage and amperage listed on the motor.
4. Before First Time Operation:
- Make sure the reservoir is filled with 3 gallons of Mobil DTE 24 hydraulic fluid or equivalent.
- Turn the on/off power (toggle) switch to the "on" position.
- Move the control lever down to advance the ram in the downward position.
- Release the control lever to stop the ram's movement.
- Move the control lever to the up position to move the ram up.
- When the press is new, move the ram up and down to work out any air that may be in the system.
