To connect the SILION SLR1218 Desktop UHF RFID Reader-Writer to your computer, you have two options: USB communication or RS232 serial port communication.
For USB communication, you will need a USB cable. Simply connect one end of the USB cable to the USB port on the reader-writer and the other end to an available USB port on your computer. Make sure the reader-writer is powered on.
For RS232 serial port communication, you will need an RS232 serial port cable. Connect one end of the serial port cable to the RS232 port on the reader-writer and the other end to an available RS232 port on your computer. Again, ensure that the reader-writer is powered on.
Once connected, you may need to configure the communication settings on your computer. In the device manager, locate the COM port assigned to the reader-writer and use that COM port for communication. You can refer to the demonstration software instructions provided with the reader-writer for specific configuration settings.
Please note that the reader-writer supports USB 1.1/2.0 and RS232 serial port communication.
