To connect the Tuya TM-YD001W Smart Motion Sensor Night Light to your Wi-Fi network, follow these steps:
1. Make sure your Wi-Fi router is a 2.4GHz router, as the night light only supports this frequency and not 5GHz routers.
2. Set the relevant parameters of your router before Wi-Fi configuration. Ensure that your Wi-Fi password does not contain special characters such as @#$%^&*.
3. Keep your mobile phone and the night light as close as possible to the router to speed up the configuration process.
4. Download the Tuya Smart app from the app store or scan the QR code provided in the manual to download the app.
5. Open the Tuya Smart app and click on "Register". Read and agree to the "Privacy Policy". Enter a legal and valid mobile number or email address, then click "Continue". Enter the verification code received and log in to the app.
6. Turn on Bluetooth on your mobile phone and open the Tuya Smart app. Click on the "Add Device" or "+" icon to add a device. Simultaneously, long-press the pairing button on the night light until the light flashes slowly, indicating it is in pairing mode. The app will display a device discovery pop-up window.
7. Click on "Add" and select the connected Wi-Fi network. Enter the Wi-Fi password and click "Next". Wait for the device to connect successfully.
8. After the device is connected, you can click on the device icon to rename it. Click "Finish" in the upper right corner to complete the setup.
Note: On the home page of the Tuya Smart app, you can access various functions of the sensor light, such as colored light, white light, scene, motion detection, and timing switch. When the motion detection mode is turned on, the color and brightness of the light cannot be adjusted.
If you need to remove the device, long-press the device icon on the home page of the app, select the device to be removed, and click on "Remove device". Confirm the removal and click "OK" to complete the process.
