To program the Hama 00 012306 Universal Remote Control to work with your TV, you have three options: direct code entry, manual code search, and automatic code search.
1. Direct code entry:
- Switch on the TV you want to control.
- Press the "SETUP" button on the remote control until the LED lights up continuously.
- Use the device button to select "TV". If successful, the LED will flash once and then light up permanently.
- Find the five-digit code for your TV brand and type in the code using the number buttons 0-9. The LED will confirm each digit entry with a short flash and go out after the fifth digit.
- Test the remote control to see if the desired functions work. If not, try the next code for your TV brand from the code list.
2. Manual code search:
- Switch on the TV you want to control.
- Press the "SETUP" button on the remote control until the LED lights up continuously.
- Use the device button to select "TV". If successful, the LED will flash once and then light up permanently.
- Press the "POWER" or "PROG+/PROG-" key to scroll through the preset codes until your TV responds (e.g., switches off or changes channel).
- Press "OK" to save the code and exit the code search. The LED will go out.
- Test the remote control to see if the desired functions work. If not, repeat the manual code search with the next code.
3. Automatic code search:
- Switch on the TV you want to control.
- Press the "SETUP" button on the remote control until the LED lights up continuously.
- Use the device button to select "TV". If successful, the LED will flash once and then light up permanently.
- Press the "PROG+/PROG-" or "POWER" key to start the automatic code search. The LED will flash once and then light up permanently.
- The remote control will automatically search through the preset codes until your TV responds.
- Press "OK" to save the code and exit the code search. The LED will go out.
- Test the remote control to see if the desired functions work. If not, repeat the automatic code search.
