To adjust the temperature setting on the Element ECF50MD1BW 5.0 cu. ft Chest Freezer, follow these steps:
1. Locate the control panel on the front of the freezer. Depending on the model, it may have an indicator light or not.
2. Connect the freezer to the power supply.
3. Use the thermostat xxxx to adjust the interior temperature. Rotate the xxxx clockwise to decrease the temperature and counterclockwise to increase the temperature.
4. The thermostat xxxx may have markings such as "MIN" for the warmest setting and "MAX" for the coldest setting. Adjust the xxxx to the desired temperature based on these markings.
5. If your freezer has an indicator light, it will illuminate when the power is connected.
6. Allow the freezer to run for 2 to 3 hours before loading fresh or frozen food. In summer or high ambient temperatures, it is recommended to let the freezer run for more than 4 hours in advance.
