To set up the Amber Connect ARC 210 Smart Assets and Personal Tracker, please follow these steps:
1. Inserting the SIM card:
- Open the battery cover.
- Remove the battery connector.
- Insert the Nano SIM card into the SIM slot as shown in the diagram.
- Reconnect the battery and close the cover after the SIM card is inserted.
Note: Make sure the SIM card has access to Caller ID service, and a minimum 30MB data plan per month is recommended for normal use.
2. Powering on/off the device:
- Power On: Long press the SOS button for 3 seconds. The LED indicators (Blue/Red/Green) will blink.
- Power Off:
- If there is no SIM card, press the SOS button for 3 seconds.
- If there is a SIM card, remove the battery.
Note: If there is a power-on failure, ensure the battery is inserted correctly and charge it. In case of an emergency, press the SOS button for 3 seconds to activate the SOS alarm. The device will send an SOS SMS alert to preset SOS numbers. Short press the button to answer an incoming call and long press to hang up. Short press to hang up when in a call state.
3. Battery charging:
- Connect the device with the original charger.
- The device is charging if the red indicator is always on.
- The red indicator flickers slowly if the device is fully charged.
Note: It takes about 2 hours to fully charge the battery. It is normal for the device to become hot during charging.
