To connect the INTELLINET 508322-V2 Industrial Fast Ethernet Media Converter to your network, follow these steps:
1. Twisted Pair (RJ45) Connection:
- Connect the UTP port of the media converter to an RJ45 port on your network (e.g., to an Ethernet switch).
- It is recommended to use Cat5e or better cabling for optimal performance.
2. Fiber Optic Connection:
- You will need two fiber optic cables to connect between two identical media converters.
- Connect the TX (transmit) port of Media Converter 1 to the RX (receive) port of Media Converter 2.
- Connect the RX (receive) port of Media Converter 1 to the TX (transmit) port of Media Converter 2.
- The maximum length and fiber cable specification depend on the model. Please refer to the specifications for your specific model.
