The Q-TRAN Wide Linear Fixtures can be mounted using different methods, depending on your preference and the specific installation requirements. Here are the three mounting options provided by Q-Tran:
1. xxxx Mounting: This method involves using screws to secure the fixture in place. You will need to use the provided stainless steel clips (SST-09) or plastic clips (PLC-03) to attach the fixture to the desired surface. For fixtures that are 4 feet or less in length, two clips are provided, while fixtures longer than 4 feet come with four clips.
2. 832 Silicone Mounting: Q-Tran recommends using 832 Silicone for mounting the fixtures. This silicone should be used in a well-ventilated area and is sold with a caulking gun. It is important to note that the 832 Silicone should not be used in any submersible applications.
3. VHB Mounting: VHB (Very High Bond) is another mounting option provided by Q-Tran. VHB tape is a strong adhesive tape that can securely attach the fixture to the desired surface. This method offers a clean and easy installation process.
It is crucial to follow Q-Tran's installation methods when making any field modifications to the fixtures. Failure to do so may void the warranty. For more detailed instructions and guidelines, please refer to the Q-TRAN Wide Linear Fixtures Installation Guide provided by Q-Tran Inc.
