To connect the COMET Pt1000 Programmable Temperature Transducer to a PC for configuration, please follow these steps:
1. Unscrew the four screws on the device lid and remove the lid.
2. If the device is already installed in a measuring system, disconnect the leads from the terminals.
3. Connect the SP003 communication cable to the device. The display should light up, or at least all symbols should light up for one second if the LCD was switched off.
4. Connect the other end of the SP003 communication cable to a USB port on your PC. The installed USB driver should detect the connected cable and create a virtual COM port inside the PC.
5. Run the installed Tsensor program on your PC and select the corresponding communication COM port (as described above).
6. Make the desired modifications to the transducer settings using the Tsensor program.
7. Once the new settings are saved and finished, disconnect the cable from the device.
8. Reconnect the leads into the device's terminals and place the lid back on the device.
Please note that it is important to have the Tsensor program installed on your PC and to ensure that the USB driver for the communication cable is properly installed before attempting to connect the transducer. For further assistance, you can refer to the "Calibration manual.pdf" file that is installed with the Tsensor software or contact the distributor for technical support.
