The quartz bulb in your LIFEGARD QL Series Ultraviolet Sterilizer should be replaced on a yearly basis. The visible blue glow emitted by the bulb is not an indication of the amount of invisible ultraviolet radiation being produced. The blue glow will still be seen when the ultraviolet output is zero. Regular replacement of the quartz bulb ensures that the sterilizer continues to effectively eliminate micro-organisms and maintain optimal performance.
Please refer to the maintenance schedule provided in the instructions for more information on the recommended replacement intervals for other components of the sterilizer.
