To attach the test object to the PCE-VC 20 Vibration Process Calibrator, follow these steps:
1. The Vibration exciter of the PCE-VC20 has a tapped M5 hole with 7 mm depth for the attachment of the device under test.
2. You can use the supplied stud bolts and stud adapters or a clamping magnet for mounting.
3. For light transducers, adhesive wax or double-sided adhesive tape can be used for mounting.
4. If using adhesive mounting, ensure a flat surface by using the M5 insulating flange Model 029 available from Metra.
5. Magnetic and adhesive attachments are only allowable for roughly estimated calibrations. Accuracy is only guaranteed for xxxx attachment.
6. When mounting the specimen, pay attention to the symmetrical distribution of the object weight to avoid deflection from the main axis of the vibrating system.
7. If using coupling structures for calibration of transducers, symmetrical attachment becomes especially important.
8. Heavy connecting cables should be supported close to the test object, but avoid applying force via the cable.
9. Do not exceed the maximal torque rating of 1 to 2 Nm at the vibration exciter to prevent damage to the instrument.
10. Place the PCE-VC20 on a rigid surface for accurate calibration. Hand-held operation is not recommended to avoid errors.
Please refer to the user manual for more detailed instructions and illustrations on attaching the test object to the PCE-VC 20 Vibration Process Calibrator.
