The INTELLINET 24 Port Gigabit Ethernet PoE plus Switch with 2 SFP Ports does not require any configuration and is designed to be plug and play. Simply connect your devices to the switch using Ethernet cables and they will automatically detect the link speed (10, 100, or 1000 Mbps) for compatibility and maximum performance.
If you have specific requirements or want to optimize the switch's features, you can use the slide switch located on the front panel. The switch has three modes:
1. Default Mode: In this mode, all ports can communicate with each other normally.
2. VLAN Mode: This mode isolates ports 1-24 from each other while allowing them to connect to ports 25 and 26. This can be useful for creating separate network segments or for security purposes.
3. Extend Mode: This mode sets the PoE ports to full 10 Mbps and extends Ethernet connectivity up to 250 meters (820 ft.). This can be helpful for long-distance connections.
Please note that for optimal performance, it is recommended to use Cat5e/6/6a/8.x UTP/STP cables. If a status LED does not indicate a link or activity, check the corresponding device for proper setup and operation.
