Loading media into the TSC PEX-1120 4-Inch Performance Print Engine is a simple process. Here are the steps to follow:
1. Unpacking: Start by unpacking the printer and removing any packaging materials.
2. Loading Media: Open the media cover by pressing down on the latch located on the right side of the printer. Place the media roll onto the media supply hub, ensuring that the media is unwinding from the bottom of the roll. Slide the media guide to match the width of the media and feed the media through the print head module. Close the media cover.
3. Loading Ribbon: If you are using a thermal transfer printing method, you will need to load the ribbon. Open the ribbon cover by pressing down on the latch located on the left side of the printer. Place the ribbon roll onto the ribbon supply hub, ensuring that the ribbon is unwinding from the bottom of the roll. Thread the ribbon through the print head module and close the ribbon cover.
4. Attaching Power & Connecting Interface Cable: Connect the power cord to the power input connector on the back of the printer and plug it into a power outlet. Connect the interface cable (USB, Ethernet, etc.) to the corresponding port on the printer and the computer or network device.
5. Turn on the Power: Press the power button located on the front panel of the printer to turn it on. The printer will go through a self-test process.
6. Installing Driver & Calibrating Sensor: Install the printer driver software on your computer by following the instructions provided in the user guide. Once the driver is installed, you may need to calibrate the sensor for accurate printing. Refer to the user guide for detailed instructions on driver installation and sensor calibration.
Please note that the above instructions provide a general overview of the process. For specific details and illustrations, it is recommended to refer to the TSC PEX-1120 4-Inch Performance Print Engine User Guide that came with the product.
