To perform a self-test on the Testboy TB 29 Network Cable Tester, follow these steps:
1. Attach the included RJ45 line to the RJ45 jack of the transmitter and the RJ45 jack of the receiver.
2. Switch on the instrument by pressing and holding the On/Off button until you hear a beep and the display turns on.
3. Press the "TEST" button to start the self-test.
4. The display will show the result of the self-test, indicating if the instrument is ready to use.
