To install the Hills 80150708 Mini Folding Frame Clothesline, please follow these steps:
1. Select a suitable location with sufficient clearance around the clothesline. It is recommended to have 500mm on the sides and 750mm from the front.
2. Mark the hole centers using the brackets as templates. The hole centers should be exactly 1353mm apart, and it is recommended to align the lower hole centers with the user's head height. Use a spirit level to ensure the hole centers are level vertically and horizontally.
3. Adhere the wall brackets. If you are mounting to masonry, brick, or concrete, drill 10mm holes at the marked points and secure the brackets using the provided M8x70 Masonry Wall Bolts. If you are mounting to a different substrate, such as wood, consult your local hardware store for advice on suitable fixings.
4. Assemble the folding clothesline. Slide the four Arm End Caps onto the end of each arm and strut. Secure the arms and struts into the wall brackets using the four Chicago Bolts.
5. Carefully slot the Front Bar into the right arm corner. While supporting its weight, guide the other end into the left arm corner.
6. Attach the line. The clothesline comes with the Line Tensioner and Line pre-attached. Thread the line through the clothesline in alternating directions, keeping tension as you go. Refer to Figure 6 in the manual for a visual guide.
7. Tie off the line. Align the line tie off with the hole in the clothesline arm and pull the line straight through the frame and line tie off. Pull the line tight and wedge it into the gap at the base of the line tie off. Thread the line back and forth through the holes on the inner side of the line tie off, finishing on the inside of the arm. Wedge it again into the opposite side gap at the base of the line tie off and snip off the excess.
8. To tension the line, rotate the line tension dial in a clockwise direction until the lines are taut. Refer to Figure 8 in the manual for a visual guide.
Once installed, you can operate the folding clothesline by raising and locking it in place or lowering it for storage. Grip the frame in the middle to raise or lower it, and listen for the folding brackets to click into place.
