According to the user guide, here are the steps to properly clean and maintain the Super Vac F164E Electric Confined Space Fan:
1. Disconnect the ventilator from the power source before performing any maintenance or repair.
2. Remove the ventilator guards to access the blade and inside housing.
3. Clean the blade and inside housing with mild detergent and water. Do not use abrasives, sharp instruments, or caustic solvents that may scratch or damage the aluminum alloy blade.
4. Inspect the inlet and outlet guards for damage or missing pieces. Replace damaged or missing guards before operating the ventilator.
5. When replacing the guards after cleaning, position them with the rings to the outside with the row of spot welds holding the rings on the bottom.
It is important to note that maintenance should only be performed by experienced and trained personnel. The motor is sealed and does not require lubrication for the life of the motor.
