To mount the Teufel DEF 5S S1 speaker on the speaker stand, please follow these steps:
1. xxxx the 4 flat spikes onto the bottom of the base plate.
2. xxxx the base plate onto the column with 4 long screws, ensuring that the cable conduit is located on the other end. For vertical alignment, adjust the column so that its short side faces the front. For horizontal alignment, the long side should face the front.
3. If you want to attenuate the speaker system, fill the column with quartzose sand. To seal the column, xxxx the cover plate onto the opening of the carrier plate. Note that in this case, running a speaker cable through the column is not recommended.
4. Place the pre-assembled speaker stand on the flat spikes. You can adjust the flat spikes to compensate for minor irregularities in the floor.
5. Depending on the speaker type, take the carrier plate from the packaging or unscrew it from the speaker box.
6. Set the carrier plate in place on the column and xxxx it tightly using the four long screws. The front side of the carrier plate should bear the Teufel logo. Only when the carrier plate is securely fastened to the column can you mount the speaker onto the carrier plate.
7. Before mounting the speaker, lay the speaker cable. Use a high-quality double wire speaker cable with marked strands. It is recommended to run the cable through the column from the bottom up and then out through the cable conduit.
