To install the PYRAMID 12380 Yamaha YZF1000R Thunderace Seat Cowl, follow these steps:
1. Start by removing the OEM seat and seat strap from your Yamaha YZF1000R Thunderace.
2. Locate the brackets on the OEM seat that are marked in grey in Figure 1. Remove these brackets and set them aside.
3. Take the PYRAMID Seat Cowl and locate the corresponding grey markings on it (marked in grey in Figure 2). These markings indicate where the brackets from the OEM seat will be attached.
4. Using the M6 x 20mm bolts provided with the PYRAMID Seat Cowl, attach the brackets from the OEM seat to the grey markings on the Seat Cowl. Make sure to tighten the bolts securely.
5. Note that there is a bracket marked in red in Figure 2. This bracket is used to clip the Pyramid Seat Cowl into position at the rear. Ensure that this bracket is properly aligned and secured.
6. Once the above steps are completed, fit the PYRAMID Seat Cowl onto your Yamaha YZF1000R Thunderace in the same way as the OEM seat. Make sure all fixings are tightened securely.
7. It is important to periodically check all the fixings to ensure they remain tight and secure.
