To connect the VISION VX3000PRO Ultra Class D Mono Amplifier to your car's electrical system, follow these steps:
1. Disconnect the ground connection from the vehicle's battery before installation to avoid any risk of electric shock and short circuits.
2. Choose an appropriate location for the installation of the amplifier that ensures sufficient air circulation. Suitable locations include spare wheel cavities and open spaces in the trunk area. Avoid locations that are exposed to high humidity and dust.
3. Mount the amplifier and other components of the sound system securely to prevent them from becoming loose and causing harm or damage in the passenger room.
4. Ensure correct connection of all terminals. Faulty connections can cause fire hazards and damage to the amplifier. Use appropriate wiring kits for the professional installation of the sound system.
5. Connect the +12V terminal of the amplifier to the positive pole of the power capacitor using a suitable cable. Then connect the positive pole of the power capacitor to the 12-volt positive pole of the vehicle battery. Use a sufficiently dimensioned cable with a total length of maximum 2 meters.
6. Connect the turn-on signal from the head unit/car radio (REM) to the REM terminal of the power capacitor. Then connect the REM terminal of the power capacitor to the REM terminal of the amplifier. This allows the amplifier and power capacitor to turn on or off with the head unit/car radio.
7. Connect the minus pole of the power capacitor to a suitable contact ground point on the vehicle's chassis. Then connect the minus pole of the power capacitor to the GND terminal of the amplifier. The ground wire should be as short as possible and connected to a blank metallic point on the vehicle's chassis.
8. Install a suitable fuse and holder in the power cable near the 12-volt terminal of the amplifier. The distance between the fuse and the amplifier should not exceed 15 cm. Use a separate fuse for the +12V power cable near the battery to secure the power cable. The distance between the fuse and the battery should not exceed 30 cm.
9. It is recommended to operate the amplifier with a power capacitor (not included) to ensure a more constant power supply. Mount the power capacitor as close to the amplifier as possible.
