To install the Thomas Betts SSTPM50 Cable Gland, please follow the instructions below:
1. Start by selecting the appropriate size hole for the cable gland in the desired location. The hole size should match the M50x1.5 thread size of the cable gland.
2. Insert the cable through the hole, ensuring that the cable is properly prepared and stripped according to the requirements of your application.
3. Take the cable gland and separate the two halves. Place the cable gland over the cable, with the threaded side facing the hole.
4. Align the two halves of the cable gland and xxxx them together by hand. Make sure the threads engage properly.
5. Use a suitable tool, such as a wrench or pliers, to tighten the cable gland securely. Be careful not to overtighten, as this may damage the cable or the gland.
6. Once the cable gland is tightened, check for a secure and watertight seal. Ensure that the cable is properly secured and strain-relieved within the gland.
7. Finally, test the installation to ensure that the cable gland provides the desired protection and meets the requirements of your application.
