Before using the Uterine PositionOR PRO™, you should test the integrity of the intrauterine balloon to ensure it remains inflated. Here is how you can do it:
1. Draw 7-10cc of air into a standard luer slip syringe.
2. Insert the syringe into the Inflation Valve with Pilot Balloon (7, Figure 1) of the Uterine PositionOR PRO™.
3. Inject air into the balloon to confirm that it remains inflated.
4. If the balloon does not remain inflated, do not use the device and discard it. Use another Uterine PositionOR PRO™ unit.
It is important to test the balloon before each use to ensure its proper function.
