To connect the OSD AUDIO Forza 850LM Outdoor Omni Speaker to an amplifier or receiver, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that your amplifier or receiver provides a minimum of 10 watts per channel to power the omni speaker.
2. Evaluate the location for the speaker and project the length of speaker wire you will need. Make sure to use direct burial rated speaker cable.
3. Dig a trench about 5 inches deep leading from the speaker to the input source for the speaker cables. For the Forza 850LM omni speaker, dig a trench hole approximately 16 inches in diameter and 5 inches deep for the speaker enclosure.
4. Place the omni speaker in the hole you have dug. Run the direct burial wire through the trench to the location of your amplifier or receiver. Use water-tight wire connectors when connecting the additional wire.
5. Use the Tap switch located on the speaker to select the appropriate setting best suited for your application.
6. Connect the wires from the omni speaker to the corresponding speaker outputs on your amplifier or receiver. Ensure that the polarity on the cables and the speaker are in sync.
Optional: You can use an outdoor volume control to conveniently adjust the volume outside.
7. Test the speaker to ensure it is working properly. If the speaker is partially buried, make sure the submerged part of the speaker is covered with the speaker cover.
