To install the Hunter 19273 3 Light Pendant, you will need the following tools: ladder, screwdriver, pliers, and wire strippers. Before starting the installation, make sure to turn off the power at the circuit breaker and remove the old fixture.
Here are the steps to install the pendant:
1. Attach one end of the threaded post (H) to the mounting bracket (A) using a hex nut (G). The other end of the threaded post should be connected to the canopy loop (E). Unscrew the canopy loop ring (F) from the canopy loop (E).
2. Determine the ideal position of the threaded post (H) by lifting the mounting bracket (A) up to the junction box and placing the canopy (D) over it. The canopy should cover at least half of the exterior threads on the canopy loop (E) while it is securely connected to the threaded post (H). Adjust the threaded post (H) by loosening the hex nut (G) if needed. Once the ideal position is determined, tighten the hex nuts (G) onto the threaded post (H) just beneath the mounting bracket (A) to secure it in place.
3. Assemble the fixture by connecting the rods together. Pull the wires until taut and engage all threads, but do not over-tighten. Pass the wires through the canopy loop ring (F), the canopy (D), and the canopy loop (E). xxxx the top rod to the canopy loop (E) using the provided mounting screws (B).
4. Connect the fixture's wires to the power supply wires from the junction box. Match black to black (live), white to white (neutral), and grounding to grounding (green or copper). Twist the ends of the wire pairs together and secure them with a wire connector. Make sure all twists are in the same direction. If there is no ground wire from the junction box, consult a qualified electrician.
5. Finish the installation by placing the canopy (D) flush to the ceiling and sliding the canopy with the fixture's specifications. Do not exceed the recommended wattage. Set the glass (0) in the trim ring (N). Align the screws on the trim ring (N) with the holes on the fixture housing (M), then use the cap nuts (L) to securely attach the trim ring to the fixture housing. Finally, turn on the power and test the fixture.
