To mount the HINKLEY 17468 Wall Mount fixture, follow these steps:
1. Find a clear area in which you can work and unpack the fixture and glass from the carton.
2. Review the instructions carefully before starting the assembly.
3. Ensure that the power supply is turned off during installation. If new wiring is required, consult a qualified electrician or local authorities for code requirements.
4. Make the electrical connections from the supply wire to the fixture lead wires, following the instructions provided in the instruction sheet (I.S. 18).
5. Start by removing the mounting plate (A) from the backplate (C) by removing the screws (E) located on the side of the backplate.
6. Attach the mounting bracket (A) to the junction box (J) using two 8-32 screws (B) or the screws from the previously installed mounting strap or plate. Ensure that the threaded holes are on the side when installing the mounting plate and that the plate is plumb by using a level.
7. Make all necessary wiring connections, referring to the instruction sheet (IS-18) provided.
8. Once all electrical connections are made, slip the backplate (C) over the mounting strap (A) and align the holes in the side of the backplate with the threaded holes on the side of the mounting strap.
9. Thread in the screws (E) that were removed earlier to secure the backplate to the mounting strap.
10. Follow the assembly instructions provided to finish assembling the fixture.
