To install the Hunter 19862 2 Light Vanity, follow these steps:
1. Disconnect the power by turning off the circuit breakers to the outlet box associated with the wall switch location.
2. Ensure that the lighting fixture is grounded. If the ground wire is not present, consult a qualified electrician.
3. Make sure all wiring is in accordance with national and local electrical codes. If you are unsure, consult a qualified electrician.
4. Gather the necessary tools: ladder, screwdriver, pliers, and wire strippers.
5. Remove all contents from the carton and shut off the power at the circuit breaker.
6. Completely remove the old fixture from the wall, including the old mounting bracket.
7. Remove the new mounting bracket assembly from the bag and remove the cap nuts from the mounting screws.
8. Place the mounting plate over the junction box, ensuring that the mounting screws and nuts extend away from the wall.
9. Adjust the position of the mounting screws so that they can be exposed 5-6 mm after passing through the back plate to fit the cap nuts. Adjust the mounting screws by loosening or tightening them.
10. Once the ideal position of the mounting screws is confirmed, tighten the nuts on the front of the mounting plate to secure them.
11. Pull the house wires through the center of the mounting plate and secure the plate to the junction box by tightening the screws.
12. Have a helper support the fixture's weight while completing the wiring.
13. Attach the fixture's wires to the power supply wires from the junction box: black to black (live), white to white (neutral), and grounding to grounding (green or copper).
14. Twist the ends of the wire pairs together and secure with a wire connector.
15. Loop the fixture's ground wire around the grounding xxxx and tighten. If there is no ground wire from the junction box, contact a qualified electrician.
16. Place the fixture's back plate over the mounting screws so that the threads protrude through the holes on the front of the back plate.
17. xxxx the cap nuts onto the mounting screws until the back plate of the fixture is snugly against the wall.
18. Install a light bulb (not included) according to the fixture's specifications, ensuring not to exceed the recommended wattage.
19. Turn on the power and test the fixture.
20. For regular cleaning, turn off the light and wipe down the fixture with a clean lint-free cotton or microfiber cloth. Avoid spraying cleaner directly onto the fixture.
