To install the Altronix T1M1LCK1 Mercury Access and Power kit, follow these steps:
1. Remove the backplane from the enclosure, but do not discard the hardware.
2. Mark and predrill holes in the wall to align with the top three keyholes in the enclosure. Install three upper fasteners and screws in the wall, with the xxxx heads protruding. Place the enclosure's upper keyholes over the three upper screws, level it, and secure it.
3. Mark the position of the lower three holes. Remove the enclosure, drill the lower holes, and install the three fasteners.
4. Place the enclosure's upper keyholes over the three upper screws. Install the three lower screws and tighten all screws securely.
5. Mount the included UL Listed tamper switch (Altronix Model TS112 or equivalent) in the desired location, opposite the hinge. Slide the tamper switch bracket onto the edge of the enclosure, approximately 2" from the right side. Connect the tamper switch wiring to the Access Control Panel input or the appropriate UL Listed reporting device. Opening the door of the enclosure will activate the alarm signal.
6. Mount the Mercury modules to the backplane(s) according to the instructions on page 3 of the manual.
7. Refer to the ULXB Power Supply/Charger Installation Guide for AL400ULXB2 and the corresponding installation guides for PDS8(CB), VR6, and ACM4(CB) for further installation instructions.
Please note that wiring methods should be in accordance with the National Electrical Code/NFPA 70/ANSI and local codes. The product is intended for indoor use only.
