To connect devices to the INTELLINET 560993 16-Port Gigabit Ethernet PoE Switch, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that all connected devices comply with IEEE 802.3af for power compatibility.
2. Use Cat5/5e/6 UTP/STP cables for optimal performance.
3. All ports on the switch support Auto-MDI/MDI-X functionality, so crossover cables and uplink ports are not needed.
4. Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the device you want to connect (e.g., PC, router, hub, etc.).
5. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to any available port on the switch.
6. The Link/Activity LED on the switch should indicate the connection status. If the LED is off, check the device for proper setup and operation.
7. Repeat steps 4-6 for each device you want to connect to the switch.
Note: The switch provides power to all connected devices, so ensure that the connected devices are capable of receiving power via PoE (Power over Ethernet).
