To install the PORTOR LIGHTING PT-DLSM2-R Downlight, please follow these steps:
1. Disconnect electrical power: Before installing or servicing any part of the fixture, make sure to disconnect the electrical power.
2. Surface mounting: This product should be surface mounted with a junction box or a non-combustible surface that is above 4 feet (1.2 meters) high. You will need to prepare necessary accessories and spare parts, including a junction box and screws (not provided).
3. Safety precautions: Read and understand the instructions completely before starting the installation. Turn off the electricity at the fuse or circuit breaker box before installing the fixture. All electrical connections must be in accordance with the N.E.C. or your local code.
4. Package contents: Ensure that you have received all the necessary components for installation.
5. Mounting the fixture: Make sure the power is off and the junction box is securely mounted before installing the fixture. Remove the mounting bracket from the unit by pushing the clips in. Match the hole position on the bracket to the junction box and attach the bracket to the junction box using mounting screws.
6. Wiring connections: Connect the power wires with the wires of the fixture correctly using wire nuts. Make sure to connect the Line, Neutral, and Ground wires properly (refer to Step 1).
7. Fixture installation: Place the fixture and ensure that the springs are squeezed and snapped into the bracket securely.
