To install the VOLT VSPL-1047-BBZ Solar Flame Integrated LED Brass Path and Area Light, please follow these steps:
1. Remove the solar panel: Use a screwdriver to loosen the screws and carefully remove the solar panel from the fixture body to avoid disconnecting the wires.
2. Install the flame lamp: Use a flame lamp with the correct wattage and type as marked on the fixture label. Align the pins in the bottom of the flame lamp to the holes on the socket and push the flame lamp into the socket properly. Make sure not to exceed the maximum wattage marked on the luminaire label.
3. Install the solar panel: Align the switch to the slot on the solar panel and place the solar panel back onto the fixture body. Secure them together with the previously removed screws. Hand tighten until snug with a screwdriver.
4. Test the solar light: Place the solar panel of the fixture onto a flat opaque working surface. Push the switch on the flange to the "ON" position to test the light source. The lights will turn on while the switch is on. This step ensures that the fixture is in the ON mode.
5. Install the stake: Determine the desired location for mounting the luminaire. Hammer the stake into the ground until the flange of the stake is flush to grade. If the ground is hard, you can make a crosscut in the ground using a flat shovel to make it easier to install the stake.
6. Install the fixture body: Thread the fixture body and the stem onto the stake and hand tighten until snug.
To replace the battery:
1. Remove the solar panel: Follow the same steps as mentioned above to remove the solar panel from the fixture body.
2. Replace the battery: Remove the old battery from the battery compartment and replace it with a new one.
3. Install the solar panel: Align the switch to the slot on the solar panel and place the solar panel back onto the fixture body. Secure them together with the previously removed screws. Hand tighten until snug with a screwdriver.
