There are multiple ways to switch between computers using the Rextron 2 Port DP KVM 8K Displayport KVM Switch:
1. Button Switch: You can switch to any port by pressing the buttons on the front panel of the KVM switch. The orange LED under the push button will indicate which input device you have selected.
2. Click Mouse Switch:
- 2 port dual KVM switch: Double click the middle roller of the mouse (within 1 second) to switch back and forth between ports.
- 4 port dual KVM switch:
- Double click the middle roller of the mouse, then press the right mouse button to switch to the next port.
- Double click the middle roller of the mouse, then press the left mouse button to switch to the previous port.
3. Keyboard Hot-key Switch: Double click the right Ctrl key, followed by the port number you want to switch to, and then press Enter.
4. Wired Remote Push Button Switch: If you have the wired remote switch, you can plug it into the KVM switch and use it to switch between ports.
Note: The button switch on the front panel and the wired remote switch cannot be used simultaneously. When the wired remote switch is plugged in, the button switch on the front panel will be disabled.
