To mount the HINKLEY 5054XX-CL Flash Mount fixture, follow these steps:

1. Find a clear area in which you can work.
2. Unpack the fixture and glass from the carton.
3. Carefully review the instructions prior to assembly.
4. Prepare the mounting strap (A) by threading the two long mounting screws (B) into the back of the gull-wing bracket - see Drawing 1.
5. Ensure that the holes into which the screws are threaded match the spacing of holes (D) in the back plate (E) - see Drawings 1 and 2.
6. Attach the mounting strap (A) to the junction box using two 1" screws.
7. Make electrical connections from the supply wire to the fixture lead wires, following the wiring instructions provided in the manual.
8. Slide the backplate (E) over screws (B) and secure it with ball knobs.
9. To install the glass, remove the spacer (3) and socket ring (4) from the socket (1) - see Drawing 2.
10. Place the glass (2) over the socket (1).
11. Slip the spacer (3) and thread the socket ring (4) back onto the socket (1) and hand tighten. Note: Do not over-tighten, as it could cause damage to the glass.
12. The fixture is now ready to be used.
