To mount the HINKLEY 5052CM-CL Flush Mount fixture, follow these steps:

1. Find a clear area in which you can work.
2. Prepare the mounting strap (A) by threading the two long mounting screws (B) into the back of the gull wing bracket.
3. Make sure the holes into which the screws are threaded match the spacing of holes (D) in the back plate (E).
4. Attach the mounting strap (A) to the junction box (J) using two 1” screws (C) (not provided).
5. Make electrical connections from the supply wire to the fixture lead wires, following the wiring instructions provided in the manual.
6. Slide the backplate (E) over the screws (B) and secure it with the ball knobs (F).
7. To install the glass, remove the spacer (3) and socket ring (4) from the socket (1).
8. Place the glass (2) over the socket (1) lip spacer (3) and thread the socket ring (4) back onto the socket (1) and hand tighten. Be careful not to over-tighten, as it could cause damage to the glass.
9. Finally, the fixture can be lamped according to the instructions provided in the manual.
