To use the ROEBIC FRK-6 1 lbs. Foaming Root Killer in your sewer lines, follow these steps:
1. For residential 4" sewer lines, use the entire contents of a 1 lb. container. Add the Foaming Root Killer to the toilet bowl.
2. Flush the toilet immediately to avoid foam overflowing the bowl.
3. Flush the toilet a second time to push the foam completely into the sewer line. If you have a 1.6-gallon low-flow toilet, flush a third time.
4. Restrict water usage for four to six hours after application. Do not apply the product through the sink or tub.
Please note that this product is not for use in septic systems in the state of Florida. Additionally, it is important to keep people and pets out of the area during application.
For root control along sidewalks and driveways, you can cut a 3-inch or deeper edging along the structure and pour 2 oz. per foot of the Foaming Root Killer into it in a thin strip. Then cover the edged area with soil. Thoroughly water-in the product immediately after application. Repeat annually to prevent root growth near the surface.
If you want to prevent long-term root growth from trees into sewer lines, you can bore a series of small holes, 2 feet apart, into the ground near the offending tree or outside the sewer joints. Add 4 oz. of the Foaming Root Killer per hole and fill with soil. Make sure the holes are located and deep enough to be directly between the offending tree's roots and the sewer line. Thoroughly water-in the product immediately after application. Repeat annually to prevent root growth between trees and roots and sewer lines.
Remember to follow all safety precautions and directions for use as stated in the instruction manual.
