To light the pilot on the TOWN RS-50N-R Automatic Gas Rice Cooker, please follow these steps:
1. Make sure the unit is properly assembled with the burner base, cover, outer jacket, rice pot, and cover in the proper positions.
2. Turn the gas valve to the ON position.
3. Position the jacket window directly over the #1 START and #2 COOK buttons.
4. Push the left button marked #1 START down and wait for a click, then release it. This is the ignition lever and the pilot should light.
5. The red button marked WARM controls the pilot and is hidden by the #1 START button when off. Pushing the #1 START button engages and exposes the WARM button. It will stay down until pushed up to extinguish the pilot.
6. If the pilot does not light, repeat the process until the pilot lights.
