To mount the HINKLEY 5052BN-CL Vanity Light, follow these steps:

1. Find a clear area in which you can work and unpack the fixture and glass from the carton.
2. Carefully review the instructions prior to assembly.
3. Start by preparing the mounting strap (A) by threading the two long mount screws (B) into the back of the gull wing bracket. Make sure the holes into which the screws are threaded match the spacing of holes (D) in the back plate (E).
4. Attach the mounting strap (A) to the junction box (O) using two 1" screws (C) (not provided).
5. Make sure to read the wiring and grounding instructions (I.S. 18) and any additional directions. Turn off the power supply during installation. If new wiring is required, consult a qualified electrician or local authorities for code requirements.
6. Make the necessary electrical connections from the supply wire to the fixture lead wires, following the instructions in the wiring instruction sheet (I.S. 18).
7. To assemble the fixture, remove the spacer (3) and socket ring (4) from the socket (1). Place the glass (2) over the socket (1), then slip the spacer (3) and thread the socket ring (4) back onto the socket (1) and hand tighten. 8. Finally, lamp the fixture according to the wiring instructions provided.
