To install the FREDRICK RAMOND FR31037 Pendant Light, follow these steps:
1. Shut off the electrical current before starting. If the fixture you are replacing is controlled by a wall switch, simply turn the switch off. If not, remove the appropriate fuse or open the circuit breakers until the fixture is dead. Do not restore power until the new fixture is completely wired and in place.
2. Determine the desired height at which the pendant will be installed.
3. The fixture comes with assorted stem sizes. Determine the combination of stems needed to achieve the desired length. Refer to Drawing 1 in the instruction manual for guidance.
4. Slip the stems over the wire and thread the first stem onto the top of the pendant, starting with the longest stem. Repeat this process until all required stems are threaded together.
5. Slip the wire through the center hole of the chain link and thread the chain link onto the top of the last stem installed.
6. Make four holes in the ceiling for wall anchors.
7. Secure the wall anchors to the holes.
8. Release the mounting plate (P) by removing the four screws (B) on the side of the canopy (C).
9. Secure the mounting plate (P) to the ceiling using screws (A) and wall anchors (W).
10. Make the wiring connections using an IS 0-10 volt LED dimmer. Refer to the wiring instructions provided in the manual for more details on connecting the wires correctly.
11. Secure the canopy (C) to the mounting plate using the previously removed screws (B).
